CTDP 2006 V1.1 patch progress

I am back in full swing after an extended Xmas vacation.  We have had many reports about things from various forums, some of these things we fix.  In some cases  we’ve ignored  requests if they are not deemed serious enough, or they are simply too much work at this stage, that is mainly things like an extra or new feature.

In spite of that a substantial amount of work has already been put into the patch.  For sure we hope that we will have addressed ALL the serious issues in the new version, with a few more minor things and extra requests thrown in as well.

I hope to see this patch close to finalisation at the end of next week ready for packaging. I still have to check with some of our physics guys how much there is to do, so it is an approximate figure, but for sure we are not talking months but weeks/days.

We now all have other things to work as well, so ultimately we have to draw the line on CTDP 2006  mod, that was such a joy, but at some point we have to say “END IT”  Hopefully that will be the 1.1 patch.  A v1.2 would only address anything that was overlooked in 1.1, or gone seriously wrong  i.e. mistakes that are “crtitical” but hopefully a 1.2 will not be needed.

I made the 3D arms addon too, so that will be ready around the same time as this patch. I have send them to one external tester to try out already, he reported no bugs in an earlier version I sent. so that addon will be delivered too.

  1. Thanks for the update. Sounds good that it’s not that far away.
Nice of you guys to “stretch” yourself to please the users in such way. Priceless.

  2. And one thing on the tire textures?

Is it possible to add BMW Sauber F107 tires to this patch?

Those ones look the most realistic tires on rFactor. Please let the patch include them as an option??

    Is it possible ??

  3. Well the 3d arms have no bugs, though they can’t be made any better for rFactor, well not that I know of, and of course are best used for the tcam view only. 🙂

  4. @ issoisso

Some comments need to be approved manually, I don’t know why this happens, Dahie can explain that maybe better, but we don’t delete any posts here.

  5. Every first post is moderated, once one post is approved, all are approved automatically. I’m usually quite quick approving, but sometimes it can take half a day.

  6. I tried but none of the 4 tire options look alike BMW 2007’s tires.None of them are same as BMW’s.

    Am I wrong??

  7. Dahie: I just realised what it was. I put in the wrong e-mail address (not the usual one), meaning the site considered me a different user 😉

  8. Sorry for asking, but is it the rFcator limitation for a wearing tyres ? Since CTDP06 have 4 tyres skin, can it be gradually shown on the tyre to indicate the wear ? Can’t wait for the 3D arm as well … Hehe …

  9. Hello, i’ve downloaded the new CDTP 2006 and have a strange problem; I choose a car to play, and after in all sesions all the cars are of the same team…. what can i do??

    1000 thanks in advance!

  10. I have a question for you, even if it’s not patch related: in these days I’m trying to drive with Real Feel and I noticed that everytime I change gear, I feel a shake on my steering wheel (I’m already using CTDP values). Is it a normal thing that everybody is experiencing or does it happen only to me? 🙂

  11. @PrentHouse, progress is coming along, not goign to say an a date as we haven’t yet decided, but mostly things are completed now.

@Uff, I use realfeel with th g25, but never experienced that, typically I have customised my own settings. It may also perhaps be related to how you have the control panel force feedback setup. centering spring that kind of thing, sorry other than can’t help you there 🙁 rFc and rsc have some threads with suggested settings I believe.

  12. Yes, I remember about RSC thread but I couldn’t read it because RSC seemed to be down, when I wrote I’ll try to have a look.
By now I’m using the controller.ini provided with RealFeel package, CTDP settings and in my profile every value is set to 0 (except for FF force, obviously). I’ll try to see if I find any solution, thanks.

  13. Of course you can 😉 as was made clear some time ago. This addon is optional so that stops that problem of the like versus not like debates. It not included as part of the mod install by default.

For those that do install it there will also be an option to have it in tvcam only, but not in cockpit view, personally I never liked the things in cockpit view and as that is the way I drive. We want to give all the options so need to worry or getting mismatch issues.

  15. Can somebody tell me where I can find the driver templates for CTDP 2006? I don’t find them in the templates provided by CTDP!
    Thanks in advance,
    Oli

  16. do u make a equal physics for a league? i mean realy Equal not “near”.

What are the difference in physics now?

new sounds pack will be nice ;] – more detailed like in mmg.

  17. @Macc The standard (different physics) for each car will not change, just some minor things, the main ones being revised tire compound selection for each track, more precise slip curves with a better TC response, and temperature handling has improved. Bridgestones have been completed, Michelins are currenty being worked on.

Fundamentally the cars will still handle and feel the same, so no worries for those who like the physics as they are, on the other hand, if you didn’t like it before, you’ll probably wont like it in the new version 🙂
