The german magazine “Boxenstopp” has a small report about the Betatestphase in it.

Enjoy the issue, it’s just available in german 😉

Andy FTL!
Great, very informatic….
Keep on good work
Great report it makes me even hotter to get the mod in my hands and doesnt make it easier to wait for this. Guys continue your great work as described in the report and bring us the best mod on earth.
继续等待!直到发布。
Why only in german? Could someone translate it to english (or spanish hehe)or just make a resume?
You can in English or German,i can in Chinese too.
Nice to read something about the progress for sure.. but sorry, the article itself is horrible!
People that are not able to write, simply shouldn’t do it and certainly not try to write big articles about one of the most wanted mods in the r-Factor community!
Nice to see a bit about the job of a beta-tester, but it does not transport much of the passion just, pity!
Anyway, good luck with the progress!
the text is in german because it is a german newslatter “boxenstopp”. So there will be no english version avaible at the moment. Maby you hav a good online translator and put the german text into an see.
link doesnt work 🙁
In the meantime I also have to say thanks to Karan for those new, beautiful screenshots he posted on RSC: they’re great! 😀
有没有确切的发布时间?

english version of the article 😉
Nice translations:
“I have pee in my eyes of this
nice cars”
Haha! Cheers Andy.
The author says “The sounds? We dont have to talk about them. They will be good.”
Does that mean that new sounds are going to be used for every car or different for each one?
Thanks Neinryder!
Ryan, Andreas Behr did the translation, not me!
was my first translation, and i tryed to stay at this what was written in german. With the sound, yes this should mean they will be good. Some littel mistakes are alloud i hope ^^
😀 I wouldn’t know how to translate to German so I cannot fault you. I just found it rather funny when I read that comment :d
Vielen dank für die Übersetzung 🙂
my pleasure
Thanks for the report!
Just a question regarding the handling of the 2006 cars. I understand CTDP used their BMW Sauber 2007 as a basis for the physics, which is wise given its quality. Were there any areas you feel could be improved upon in the 2007 physics model? Do the 2006 cars feel significantly different? Does the team feel they have created an even more detailed and accurate representation of F1 vehicle physics?
Just after some further insight! 😉

有没有测试版以布试玩一下?
CTRLZ – English Please 🙂 From translation I can see your asking about testing but not exactly sure what it is your asking. Testing is still in progress.
本人觉得应该是没有的。再等多一两个月吧!值得期待的…
Ctrlz was asking is there any demo version coming out, I answer him that the possiblility for it is very low and asked to wait 🙂
Thanks,Taylor.
I can wait for it!
There won’t be demo. When we release something we release it in one piece.
no need for demo version guys, as the progress bar went to 95%, so after 2 years of development, the release dates are probably closer than ever 😉
@658: Hi,
the 2006/2007 was the base, correct.
But it was just a start, ther is not much left from that physics.
We ve changed all and everything, tweaked all parts which are available in rfactor.
some:
correct suspension geometry for all cars
tires
-camber
-pressure
-wear
-heating
-slip angles
aerodynamics
-drafting/slipstream
-wings
-body
-drag
-rameffects
brakes
-heating
-torque
-wear
engine
-rameffects
-powercurves
-wear
-heating
-boost maps
gearboxes
-seemless shifing for some teams
-more realistic gear ratios in setups
setups
27 types of michelin tires
27 types of bridgestone tires
from supersoft (001(Monaco)) to superhard(009(Barcelona))
each with 3 subcategories
cold, warm, hot
you need to match the correct temp windows ;).
and a lot more.
pre season physics.
upgrade for all cars per track.
we continous develop and improve the physics, soon we will reach the limits of rfactor so we need new possibilities which hopefully will come to us with rfactor2 ;).
regards
Gonzo
Superb! Superb!! Superb!!! Excellent! Excellent!! Excellent!!!
Excellent!!!
But only one thing is missing.
If you play Championship with AI then cars won’t change their liveryes.Example:If you play championship with redbull, when you come in Monaco you won’t have superman livery.
@ X3me_Race
Thats what you think mate 😛
Thanks for the detailed response Gonzo, this goes beyond expectations eg. seemless shifting, pre season physics, and 27 types of different tire from each brand, wow! The challenge of finding that optimum setup for each track is going to feel very rewarding 🙂 Hell, i’m still finding tenths with my ongoing setup tweaks to the BMW Sauber 07, and that’s with only four types of dry tire!

This is a little premature, but what rFactor TC setting would you recommend with the 2006 mod; low or medium? Reason I ask is because I just put in a few laps of Albert Park in the 07 BMW on the low setting (first time i’ve properly tried that setting since the car was released, I usually use medium as I thought it was the recommended TC level). I’m regretting not trying it earlier; it’s much easier to push on the limit on the low TC setting, the tires slip with more predictability; you can really wrestle the car, it’s beautiful!
After editing my setup slightly with the mod, driving no-tc is quite good with the car. It slides in places as expected.
But with default stuff and not aiming for no-tc, I usually use our lowest ‘low’ tc setting. You will understand when the mod is released what I mean by this.
This is when I drive the Top 3 cars (mclaren/renault/ferrari). When I’m driving with say the RBR (which I do most of the time) or similar. I have to edit my setup just a little bit as if I was planning to run no-tc with the top 3 cars in order for me to be able to balance the car with the lowest low settings.
Thanks Ryan. I rememeber reading the 06 mod will have several TC settings available, so it’ll be fun trying to find the niche setting for each car. No-TC is fun in the 07 BMW but I still need to properly work out my gear ratios for the slow corners; there’s nothing more frustrating than “ambition getting ahead of adhesion” as Brundle would say!
2yrs = 24months
24months/20 = 5%
so we should be 1,2 month from the end…hope it’s true…
thanks nameless, you proof our point, when we try to explain, why we don’t have a percentage graph on our website. 😉

You can choose between more than 10 different combos of low-med-high tc.
for example low med high
3th one has 25%TC-50%TC-75%TC
there are 10 typer or more of that for you all to choose which is your best.
i recommend that you all try out which % value is best for your racing and then select the upgrade which has your optimum value as medium tractioncontrol, so you can cange while race back to high or to low.
