Waiting preparation kit.

Thanks to w4llsb4lls for this idea.

A waiting preparation kit. Something like a survival kit, to ease the pain waiting for the mod. But after a short brainstorm with Andy, I got no idea, what this kit should actually include except the mod itself.

So I ask here, what would make it easier for you to wait? Anything we haven’t thought of yet? 🙂

  1. A list of things to be finished in the mod. so we’ll know the real status.

This is a development blog, but now it seems that you are only developing the safety car, since last two months there aren’t more news about another topics.

  2. videos are always nice, but you have started doing that already, just need more.

As for something that hasnt been done yet, maybe a separate website dedicated to the 06 mod with facts and figures on each car etc. we crave information! hehehe

something like the ISI guys started with their in game mods but never finished *<{:0)

    +1

  4. Dahie and Andy, you hit it on the head, the mod will suffice 😉 But as for alternative inclusions; I’d agree that a list of tasks to complete would be very useful. I think that sort of transparency is a good thing at this point; it’ll put remaining tasks in perspective (hopefully stopping criticism about aspects like the SC interior etc.).

At the same time, even simple, frequent updates to the blog like a screenshot or a statement can be enough to satisfy. Either way, you shouldn’t need to invest considerable effort into this. like you, I think most of us are focussed on the light at the end of the tunnel.

  5. From my point of view, a to-do list would be awesome. Im really looking forward to this mod, 2005 was great but 2006 will definately set new standards in rF mods.

  6. Publishing a task list would be nice but then you might get the community wanted more things added to list and it will just go on and on again.

How about releasing a public beta and get feedback from community while you finish of the rest of the work. And should make alot of people happy aswell 🙂

  7. about two years of developing and now u wanna offer a “preparation kit”
    better late then never

    what it want?^^
trailer of each car…a little review of the cars…there spezial performance..etc.

    maybe interviews?^^
    stuff like that

  8. I totally agree with David Smith, releasing a public beta and we can give better ideas, can’t compare with yours anyway, but it can help you and we can begin to enjoy this masterwork…

  9. Thanks, but I’d like the mod instead. Perhaps any efforts towards a preparation kit can go towards completing the mod??? I’ve seen enough… there’s only so many details you can promote without losing traction. Its time to drive the mod.

  10. amgsport – good point.

I’d rather have you finishing the mod than “wasting” time on a prep-kit.

Only if it gives you more lust on working on the mod itself, then make a preparation kit, if not, then don’t. You have enough in hands at the moment?

Anyway keep up the good work, CTDP 🙂

  11. I think the preperation kit would be a work for the guys that are not working on the mod cause theire part is ready.
A Demo or Beta Version woud be the best before release, but unreal cause they said it so often they would not do.
So what would i like to see.
I would like to see more detailed information on the features and some pics, vids of them and the cars and your new sounds you are working on.

  12. a public beta (or at least a demo with one track and one car), things to do list with a prevision of how long will it take to do each item and update the blog every week.

    sorry 4 my bad english

  13. Demo with 1 car (Honda would be nice).

    Or

All templates (car, helmet, driver body,..) with shape previews..? 😛

    Yes. Im 99% joking. 🙂

  14. I cant whayt the mode, but i play ctdp 2005.Plz how time you need for the free mod 2006 ???…i whayt ctdp 06 very soon….

  15. I’d prefer to see the mod finished before being released. If you guys at CTDP release a half-finished sample, it’ll ruin the big prize at the end. 🙂
