Identical physics for leagues

Ok, speaking with Michael revealed, he actually changed the league physics before the release from near-equal-physics, I talked about it, to complete identical physics. The cars also have the same wheel-base, which results in the cars floating slightly, this is an inconvience, but one you’ll have to live with. I’ll write to the leagues today, who have been waiting impatiently so far.

CTDP Preview Race on PSRTV

PSRTV would like to apologize to anyone that experienced technical difficulties during the CTDP preview race this past weekend. One of our service providers experienced a serious issue on Saturday that disrupted connectivity during the event. To prevent outages like this from disrupting service in the future we have implemented an improved redundancy system this week. In addition, the ProSimRacing.com website which saw heavy traffic during the event has been updated to handle additional load. Thank you for your continued support.

For anyone that missed the event live you can watch the broadcast replay at www.psrtv.com.

Congratulations to CTDP on another outstanding F1 mod!

Sincerely,
PSRTV Dev Team
ProSimRacing.com

Note: PSRTV scales bandwidth for broadcast events based on need. The issue afflicting Saturday’s race was due to an unrelated incident, which has since been resolved.

Supported track

The mod doesn’t include any tracks, but the mod supports many tracks. This is used for the upgrades, which change automatically to the according upgrades.

Some reported “missing tracks”. Missing is relative, because we can’t know all tracknames that exist out there, so we already called twice to get lists of tracks, we should support and we do so know. This trackname will be added in the next version of the mod, which will be the last chance to add new tracks.

What about the templates?

I read just a few people asking for templates. Well to those few, templates will come. Most are pretty ready, but they where done before the betatesting so they need to get some of the bugfixes.I’ll work on it during the week to get them out as soon as possible. They have been on my personal todo list long enough. Just so you know, we didn’t forget them.

Sound Issue

Hi guys,

We want to clear some things about this now. First of all, the whole CTDP Team is the opinion, that Michael Ode did a good job on our sounds. But this topic is very sensetive that’s why we decided to add more sounds to cover all tastes. That’s why we added the ISI BMW sounds and asked FSone for permission of their sounds.

Now Luca de Leo appeared and said we don’t have any permission. He gave permission to FSone and they are not allowed to give permission to anybody else. Well we’re sorry for that, but how could we know that? We asked the Fsone guys.  We went the offical way to get permission so we couldn’t know.  So there are two options now for us. Delete it out of the mod or add the credits with the next patch. We hope to get in contact with Luca, soon to sort that out. We announced the use of these sounds long time ago and more than a few times, too. So we’re wondering a bit why there was no e-mail or no try to contact us about that issue.

The unofficial MMG Soundpackage was not part of our release and we didn’t know anything about it. If anybody wants to add more sounds to the mod using the ControlCenter function we have no problem with it but PLEASE, ask for permission!

To make one point clear, we did nothing wrong, we thought we gave credits to the right persons for the sounds. We’re sorry that this situation now happened but we couldn’t know.

Update:

Luca gave us permission now when we add him to the credits next time we update the mod. Thanks Luca de Leo for giving permission for the use of FSONE sounds!

Fake 3D arms and plastic trees

Fake plastic trees , when I think of the 3d arms in rfactor it reminds me of a Radiohead song and that is exactly what any of the 3d arms are in rfactor 😉  but it gets raised again and again, today we had a post about, and people want them, and as some may have read, I did promise some some time back after release I would do something.

I appreciate this is also an area that is a must have for some and not for others, nevertheless I wouldn’t want to deny poeple enjoying our upcoming ctdp06 mod, if not having those fake plastic trees prevented them playing it at all.

I am not going to spend a great deal perfecting them, this took all of 15 minutes for a team to make, so it is literally not much to do for all teams, but I did these some time back and only Ferrari done right now to try it. If you don’t like them sorry 🙂 I made these based on our biped driver model used for the current driver with static arms.

As such we wont support it, it wont be part of the install at release time, and I am not sure how soon afterwards I will release them, but probably of the order of the same week or fortnight or so I will make available a download, so it is simply a question of extracting some files to the team folders (and it wont cause mismatches).

Also  I will add some notes about how if you wanted to disable them in cockpit view, but only have them working in the tvcam, this is also possible.

So no more need to email us about fake plastic trees, or ask 🙂

Regarding the CTDP05 arms email we had the other day, it has not been discusssed yet what to do, we are in a busy period right now and expect delays in replies to such things. Until they have been dicussed internally but as was asked nicely and  done the right way, you will hear from on of us, at some point.
