a Little help needed

Hi all,

Anyone out there in the community that has any decent photos of the Super Aguri SAO6 steering wheel would be greatly appreciated.  We have some but they are not suffcient to recreate the model accurately.  

As a little progress update, all wheels are ingame except the Honda wheel by Kizz which is WIP,  and the Aguri which I am about to model.

Download mirrors

Small update on the homepage. Thanks to Remus for notifying me about some dead download mirrors. They are removed now. If you know webpages that host our stuff (any game) (registered download or free) please contact us, so we can add them.

We would also like to invite webmasters to contact us, who want to participate in the launch of F1-2006 and mirror it. It’s not next week you know, but it’ll come handy.

Need help with tracks to work with the mod

Hello Community.

Surely you know that there are very many versions of different tracks. Many variations by different people. To make our upgrade-system work for all of them we need the names of all versions which you think you will use with F1-2006. There will be all car upgrades (physics & graphical) throughout the season. To get them to work right with all tracks and give you the correct laptimes, tyres and more, we need your help.

So we ask you to create a list of all tracks.  Please check this threads if all your tracks are included.

Workload 1994

One of the aims of the development blog was to give you a more transparent look at what we are currently doing and what the status of the mod is. We know we seem to work slow, we very often hear criticism about it. We are in no hurry, we don’t have to proof anything, we work on it for fun and we release it once we feel it is ready for release. This is one of the advantages we have earned in the last few years.

Still people complaining are bugging us. It is demotiving and doesn’t help anyone. Often I have the feeling they don’t know what workload it actually is to produce such a mod. So we started compiling a list of all tasks involving the 1994 mod. I don’t claim this list to be complete, but it gives you a rough overview what we will be facing once we are done with 2006. The list for the 2006-mod was about the same length.

How are they supposed to be?

The topic is not new, there already have been some discussions about this. We have some talks with people who would want update the sounds for us and the question arises:
How are they supposed to sound?

Anybody complaining about sounds or eager to shape the new sounds is asked to post links to (onboard) videos where he thinks “that’s the sound I want to hear in the game”. The better the quality the better we can analyse it.

Be reminded we can’t work miracles , but we want to try for the best.

New Website

Haha, totally unannounced, that’s the way!

This is an example where 2 months of planning are better then 2 weeks of actual work. It took long to find the right CMS. The website is made with the Typolight-CMS. Great thiing! I’d also say thanks to Aprilliaracer for some help the sometime demotivating repeatativ tasks.

Now what is this webblog. Short how it works. We post work in progress stuff and you rip it to pieces and tell us what you think. Every tiny mistake we make. Like with the webpage. First homework, write me what you think or where you may have found mistakes. 🙂
