Another Statusupdate
March 26, 2008 – 11:33 am by (CTDP)NeidryderOk, just a few words about the status of the mod. Afborro already finished lods for 3 teams (Ferrari,BMW & Redbull). Shaun and me finished work on Super Aguri (both SA05 and SA06). I’m now working on renault, finishing model, adding the shark grills into the sidepod and baking shadows. After that i’ll fix normals on the car and finalize the shaders for ingame. Marko sent me the Safety car so it’s almost ready for mapping, I just have to do some small adjustments and final touch ups. Afborro is continueing on lods and after lods and renault are done, Ingy will start to do a small teaser video to show the full grid. So we’re coming along quite good and the end is coming closer and closer

IBRACADABRA, if you want a 2008 mod, play the illegal F1RFT, but if you want a PERFECT and hard-worked mod, then play CTDP.

If you won’t play a 2006 mod… why come here, than?
I think CTDP should find a new way to announce when a mod is released: “We’ll release it when people will stop to ask us WHEN”. This would bring to 2 cases: mod would never be released or we would see people inventing new questions without the word “when”. lol

Guys lets stay on topic please, if were going to talk about different mods and have a debate about it would be better suited to a forum of some sorts.
I am not trying to dismiss other mods just take it to a more appropriate place.

Sagt mal wird der Mod eigentlich auch mal fertig?Schön langsam wirds langweilig,da wird der Mod vor Monaten angekündigt und dann geht nix weiter,habe ich echt keine Interesse mehr daran.

Ja das sind klassiche Mods wo mal die ganz alten fahrer und alten Autos hat aber nicht 2006

Guys: If you are not interested in CTDP F1 2006 leave this blog, don’t return and all will be fine.
. Maybe you should think about it.
For all who want to drive Season 2006: wait until it’s released. We have this blog for updating you with information about what we are doing and how the progress is and I guess it works

The CTDP06 mod will be playable for a long time for these reasons ;
)
1 / 06 season is important since its the last one that schumi took part in ( who doesnt want to drive as schumacher ?
2 / according to the time and the efforts that the ctdp guys have devoted , the mod has to be really good and detailed in all aspects .
So , we have a good season in a very good packet . What else do we need ?
For the future , I would say skip 07 or 08 season and devote the same time for a detailed 09 mod ( maybe for rfactor 2 who knows lol )
But what the hell ? Lets wait for the CTDP06 first !

In my opinion CTDP 2005 is the best formula 1 mod untill now.
The screenshots of the 2006 mod are amazing.
I’m looking forward to play 2006!
I’m sure that even the negative Germans will play the CTDP 2006 mod, because it will be the best.

Yes, I agree your work is long. But this mod will be absolute best. I belive. What will be new about Pits and SC? And qualify? Is posibile make 3×15 min? System qualify 3×15 is good and in the game make this system is absolutorium ….

Another little status update to let you know that I have 5 Teams with all LODs running in the game now. The completed Teams are Honda, STR, RB, Ferrari amd BMW. So this work is coming along quite nicely and already halfway through the Toyota. So sometime in the next 3 weeks All LOD models will be done. may be even a bit sooner

What’s the problem playing a F1 2006 mod. We also play a F1 1988,F1 1979 or even older in 2008!
Isn’t it all about the gameplay?
Respect the good work of these guys.
F1 2005 is very good and I’m sure F1 2006 will be even better.
